The Hanika 8-Meister is a masterfully crafted 8-string classical guitar designed to meet the demands of the most discerning musicians. The back and sides are made from carefully selected Mexican Ziricote, offering rich tonal depth and striking visual character. The top is crafted from premium spruce and features a domed shape with a lattice bracing system that maximizes projection, responsiveness, and dynamic clarity.
At its core, the neck is constructed from cedro and internally reinforced with ultra-dense African blackwood (Grenadilla), ensuring exceptional stability and resistance to warping. The addition of two extra bass strings expands the instrument’s tonal palette, delivering deep, resonant, and full-bodied lower notes—ideal for extended-range repertoire. Our standard tuning configuration is contra A, C, E, A, D, g, b, e'. With slightly narrowed string spacing, playability remains comfortable and natural, even for complex fingerings across all eight strings.
Every detail of the 8-Meister speaks of high-end craftsmanship—from its openwork headstock made of rosewood, maple, and macassar ebony, to the precision-engineered tuning machines by Nicoló Alessi. The guitar’s body is finished in a UV-cured high-gloss varnish, while the spruce soundboard features Hanika’s newly developed open-pored “Natural-Shellac” finish, combining visual elegance with acoustic openness.
